Jake's 2nd Birthday!

Jake had an awesome time at his birthday party. We decided to have a small party with just family. It ended up being a wonderfully relaxing time together. Jake loved playing with his cousin and neighbors. He loved all the new toys he got and kept saying..."oooooo" when he saw something new. When it was time for cake, we were singing Happy Birthday and Jake just stuck his face in his cake after blowing out the candle and took a bite. Then he grabbed a fork and just dug in. It was so cute that I couldn't make him stop. Finally we had to take the cake away so that everybody could have some. Grammy and Aunt Mel did an awesome job making a yummy cake that Jake loved because it had a "Choo-choo" on it! Jake loved having all his family around and he behaved so well!! I am so proud of my big 2 year old!!!

A,B,C

Well, I always feel guilty about letting Jake watch a lot of tv, but now I know that he is actually learning something. Tonight in the bathtub, when I started to let the water out he stopped what he was doing and put his hand to his ear and said, "Ting". And only because I watch most of the shows with him, I know that this means "listen" in Japanese. I think it's Japanese, either that or Chinese. But anyway, at least I know that he is learning from watching these tv shows. I just hope he is learning English words as well. He is able to identify several letters of the alphabet now though: T, L, B, A, O, I, D, P, E, M, W. I think this is pretty good for for almost 2 years old.

Halloween and Jake's New Haircut

Here is my big boy and his new haircut! Jake has always done so well sitting still to get his haircut, but this time he was a little antsy. I think it's just his age right now, he will definitely tell you what he wants and what he doesn't want. I am really enjoying him at this age because we can carry on "real" conversations! Our family has had a fun time this fall already with all of the Halloween festivites that lasted all week for Jake. His favorite Halloween candy was definitely dum-dum suckers! We are very much looking forward to the holidays coming up! I can't believe my baby will be 2 in just a few weeks!!! He is developing such an awesome personality!
